Why Breakthrough Living?
Transitional living is a vital aspect of relapse prevention and an essential part of the Delphi continuum of treatment. We want our clients to come back as alumni, not as return patients. That’s why Breakthrough Living is a crucial final step as you make the change from the security of treatment to the outside world. Rather than thrust people back into their normal routines and the stressors that come along with it, Breakthrough exists to help you slowly adjust to living on your own.
Even though relapse is a common part of the recovery journey, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be avoided at all costs. Someone relapsing after a period of sobriety might take a dosage that they were used to during active addiction, which could potentially be dangerous and even fatal. Transitional living at Breakthrough helps you eliminate the triggers and stress factors that could lead to a relapse and gives you the environment and support you need to be successful in your recovery.

How We Help
Our staff members are professionally trained and carefully chosen to be supervisors, mentors, and friends to the clients that are under their care. Their experience, compassion, and understanding are what sets us apart in transitional living. Our facility is also fully furnished to provide a comfortable atmosphere for you as you adjust back into your daily routine.
Graduates from our transitional living program will have the following:
- Life skills such as handling financial and legal responsibilities
- Dependable employment
- A commitment to a community service outlet
- A homegroup and support network
- A sponsor who will serve as both a mentor and an accountability partner
The period immediately following treatment can be an extremely vulnerable time for someone in recovery. If that’s you, don’t rely on your own willpower to avoid relapse. You will need all the help you can get to stay on the path you’ve started for yourself. Let the staff here at Breakthrough be your support system as you turn over that new leaf in sobriety.
